SafetyQuip, the leading supplier of Workplace Safety Equipment to industry, has an exciting opportunity in South Australia for a Business Development Manager.
Our product range includes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety boots and workwear, through to technical items including confined space entry equipment, fall protection and gas detection equipment.
This is a business to business sales role - our clients include local and state government departments, power and water utilities, food and beverage processing facilities, manufacturing/engineering organisations and defence industries.
You will be responsible for:
* Promoting our product range to both prospective and existing client organisations (70% new business development)
* Identifying new business opportunities
* Maintaining a regular client call cycle
* Analysing and developing product sales with each client
* Actively seeking client feedback to improve service delivery
* Participating in on-going company and external product and industry training

* Laptop computer & iPhone
* Modern Mercedes Benz mobile showroom van - fully customised and stocked with our product range (use this to sell directly from, or simply demonstrate the range, with orders then placed electronically on the distribution centre for delivery by courier). Note: mobile showroom vans are one of our key points of difference in the market. You will need to be comfortable operating this larger size vehicle.
The successful applicant will have:
* The ability to understand and communicate technical information
* A "hunter" mindset to be successful acquiring new business
* A desire to build/continue a career in an ethical, business-to-business sales industry
* A high level of personal grooming
* Sound computer skills (Microsoft Office suite)
This role is based out of our Dry Creek distribution centre, responsible for several major clients and business development within a defined geographic area comprising some Adelaide metro area plus SA regional travel several nights per month.
This role may suit a candidate with internal sales experience looking to take the next step, or may suit an experienced B2B new business developer.
