Strategic Communications Role
The organisation is seeking an experienced professional to develop and implement strategic communication plans that align with its goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and execute campaigns to engage stakeholders and enhance the organisation's reputation.
* Develop and distribute press releases, media statements, and other communications materials.
* Manage relationships with media outlets and respond to inquiries.
* Coordinate internal and external communications to ensure consistency in messaging.
* Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging content across digital and traditional platforms.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and suggest improvements.
* Support event planning and promotional activities to enhance public engagement.
Requirements:
* Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
* Proven experience in public relations, media liaison, or communications roles.
* Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
* Knowledge of the not-for-profit industry and its unique communication needs.
* Experience working with remote Indigenous communities highly regarded.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including social media.
