Lead a passionate team supporting people on their mental health recovery journey. Empower independence, growth, and wellbeing every day.

About the Role
We're partnering with a respected community-based mental health organisation to recruit an experienced
Team Leader
for their recovery-oriented accommodation support program in the Hunter region.

In this rewarding role, you'll provide leadership and operational oversight to a dedicated team supporting adults living with complex mental health challenges, often with co-occurring AOD and psychosocial needs. You'll ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred services that promote recovery, independence, and community participation.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Mental Health Support Workers.
* Oversee day-to-day service delivery, ensuring best practice, compliance, and client safety.
* Facilitate regular supervision, team meetings, and client reviews.
* Collaborate with clinical services, carers, and community supports to achieve positive client outcomes.
* Support staff development through reflective practice and a recovery-oriented framework.
* Manage service delivery requirements, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You're an engaging and supportive leader who thrives in a fast-paced mental health environment. You balance strong people skills with excellent organisational ability, and you're confident navigating competing priorities between operational demands and staff support.

You will bring:

* Tertiary qualification in Mental Health, Community Services, Social Work, or related field.
* Demonstrated leadership experience in a community mental health or recovery service.
* Sound understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred practice.
* Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation, dual diagnosis, and recovery frameworks.
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
* Valid driver's licence and current Working with Children Check.

Benefits

* Generous NFP salary packaging (up to $15,900 tax-free).
* Access to professional development and supervision.
* Supportive, values-driven organisation committed to staff wellbeing.
* Opportunities for career progression across a large, established network.
