Job Description:
Under the direction of the Goodlife Senior Leadership Team, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the Goodlife Centre facilities through planning, scheduling, coordination, and evaluating a variety of needs within the facility.
The aim of this role is to manage the full lifecycle requirements of all hard and soft assets, ensure proper and efficient operations of all physical assets, and ensure a safe and productive environment for customers and staff alike. This is a full-time salary-based position, with the option of a nine-day fortnight, which requires some flexibility to work a variety of shifts / hours that may include early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends as staffing or maintenance demands require. Goodlife is a faith-based not-for-profit Community Centre run under the QLD Baptist Church.
Major Responsibilities and Abilities:

Also relates with: All other Goodlife departments and External Contractors/Agencies
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for duties such as, but not limited to:
* Deliver planned, preventative and ad-hoc maintenance requirements of all Centre assets, including plant and equipment, in accordance with current Australian Standards, Building Codes and Regulations, Health Guidelines and OEM requirements.
* Operations and maintenance of pool filtration systems and other aquatic operating systems in partnership with the Aquatic Manager and the Head Coach. Oversee efficient testing and recording of pool water quality and balance.
* Work Health and Safety - adhere to standards, keep facilities and staff up to date with current guidelines and requirements
* Supervise staff and volunteers on the Facilities Team.
* Perform regular safety inspections of buildings and equipment to reduce hazards and to provide maximum safety for the patrons and staff.
* Understand and facilitate the functioning and maintenance of all ICT, AV, CCTV, and security systems.
* Work in conjunction with the Operations Manager with Fire training and drills.
* Assist with room hire set ups, pack downs and cleaning requirements.
* Manage all Goodlife vehicles and small plant servicing and maintenance.
* General handyman work around the building or grounds
* On-call requirement to be first responder to security call outs and maintenance issues and emergencies.
Abilities:
* Trade qualification (electrical, plumbing, building or other relevant qualificiation) highly desirable, and/or substantial demonstrated relevant experience.
* Knowledge in asset management, project management, contract management, and/or building and facility maintenance.
* Ability to lead, train, supervise and evaluate staff and volunteers in a constructive and dynamic work environment.
* Relevant experience in interpreting and applying the standards, codes, and regulations across a diverse asset base.
* Strong technical problem-solving capabilities, with demonstrated ability to identify and investigate causes to technical problems and map resolutions that will improve asset reliability and reduce unplanned maintenance.
* Ability to effectively plan, organise and schedule all work within and around Centre programs and activities.
* Strong self-motivation, organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
* The ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, Goodlife staff members, members of the general public and external agencies.
* Proficiency with relevant business technologies such as Microsoft 365 suite, mobile devices, and online corporate systems and/or dashboards (or ability to acquire).

WAGES
Salary based position, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Hours
Full-time with flexibility to work a variety of shifts / hours that may include early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends as staffing or maintenance demands require. Nine day fortnight is an option.
