Academic Tutor and Curriculum Developer
The School of Science, Technology, and Engineering is seeking an exceptional individual to fill a Casual Academic Role in our faculty. As an Academic Tutor and Curriculum Developer, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality instruction to students across multiple science, technology, and engineering disciplines.
This role involves developing and updating course materials in line with industry standards, assessing and marking student assignments, exams, and practical assessments, as well as facilitating interactive learning experiences and moderating discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality instruction to students across multiple science, technology, and engineering disciplines.
* Develop and update course materials according to industry best practices.
* Assess and mark student assignments, exams, and practical assessments accurately.
* Design engaging learning experiences and facilitate discussions.
* Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of academic programs.
Requirements:
* Postgraduate Qualification: Master's or PhD in a relevant Science, Technology, and Engineering field.
* Teaching Experience: Proven ability to teach at a tertiary level.
* Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to engage and inspire students.
* Feedback and Assessment: Ability to assess and provide constructive feedback on student work.
