About the Role
We are seeking applications for the casual role of Kitchen Hand. Reporting to the Executive Chefs and Sous Chef/Chef de Partie of the designated Food and Beverage outlet, this position is responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment throughout QPAC's multiple kitchen and dining areas, as well as assisting with basic food preparation where required. We offer you the opportunity to learn more about quality food products and service while working alongside our experienced kitchen staff.
This is not a 9-to-5 position. It will require the individual to have a high degree of flexibility in their work times as many shifts are rotated over 7 days, predominantly during evenings and weekends.
As a minimum requirement to meet business needs, applicants must be available for a minimum of three (3) shifts per week. Within this availability, staff must be available for one (1) shift on a Wednesday and one (1) shift on a Saturday.
In this role you will:
* Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, dust, polish, and remove rubbish.
* Use dishwashing machines and undertake other cleaning duties as required.
* Clean cooking items and equipment as directed.
* Defrost and clean refrigerators and other stores areas as required.
* Assist with pick-up and delivery duties such as distribution of alcohol, food and refreshments, merchandise.
* Stock and parcel delivery.
* Provide assistance with clearing of crockery and cutlery for wash up.
* Report maintenance issues as encountered.
* Assist with stocktake.
* Assemble and prepare ingredients for cooking.
* General pantry duties.
About You

* Experience with cleaning in an industrial or commercial environment.
* Initiative and flexibility to undertake a variety of tasks.
* Experience in providing high-quality customer service.
* The ability to work as a member of a fast-paced team.
