We are seeking to create a pool of suitable applicants for the position of Labour Relations Advisor (Level 4) or Senior Labour Relations Advisor (Level 5). There is 1 full time vacancy to be filled temporarily for 12 months.
Appointments may be made on a full-time, fixed-term basis with possible further term.

The Roles
We are seeking a motivated labour relations professional, who is looking for a career development opportunity working in a small dynamic team delivering labour relations services and support for the Western Australian public sector training sector. The ability to work in a collaborative way is important in our team, and we value working together towards team goals, respecting and learning from each other and celebrating our successes.
As a Labour Relations Advisor (Level 4) you will assist in providing advice, support and information, including the interpretation and application of awards/agreements, legislation and policy on employment and industrial relations issues relevant to the Department and TAFE colleges.
As a Senior Labour Relations Advisor (Level 5) you will provide advice, support and information, including the interpretation and application of awards/agreements, legislation and policy on employment and industrial relations issues relevant to the Department and TAFE colleges. The Senior Labour Relations Advisor is a source of information and professional advice to Departmental and TAFE college officers, and other members of the Human Resources Branch.
In addition, the position will have the opportunity to be involved in the bargaining for the replacement to the Western Australian TAFE Lecturers’ General Agreement 2021.
To be successful in this role you will have high level experience in provision of advice and support in the operational application of public sector labour relations, excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment, experience in negotiation and advocacy and have demonstrated high quality interpretation and consultancy skills.
