Visible career progression About the role Work as part of an experienced materials handling team to innovate designs
Work across a continuous succession of domestic and international projects throughout the project lifecycle from early concept development, detailed design, construction and operations
Define and recommend design methods, specifications and performance of functional requirements for new projects
Prepare feasibility studies, surveys, reports, design layouts, bill of quantities and cost estimates; generate equipment specifications and support equipment evaluation and procurement activities during project execution
Manage mechanical discipline budget and schedule during execution of projects in all maturity phases
Carry out site inspections and liaise with suppliers, clients, consultants and commissioning engineers; provide engineering support to installation, construction and commissioning teams and deploy as a commissioning resource when required
Liaise with internal and external clients, other discipline professionals and stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate and cost‑effective project delivery What are we looking for? Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
At least 7–10 years' experience, preferably in project design, commissioning and onsite operation environments
Experience with materials handling equipment such as conveyors, crushers, screeners, material storage and milling
Site‑based practical experience with commissioning, operations and problem‑solving issues highly regarded
Materials handling experience with multiple commodity types highly regarded
Experience leading and mentoring junior engineers
Strong communication and leadership skills coupled with the ability to provide advanced technical solutions and problem‑solve
CPEng or Chartered Status highly regarded but not essential How to express your interest in this opportunity
