Our functions are geographically dispersed with teams located in Sydney, India and London.The Role.CommBank's GMO business is looking for an Associate to join our FX Settlements function which supports the timely and accurate settlement and reconciliations of FX, Money Market, Fixed Income and OTC Derivatives products across CBA's global network of clients, primarily using the source systems Wallstreet & Murex.The Global FX Settlements role provides real time operational support to the Foreign Exchange and Money Market trading desks across Sydney, London and New York.
Some of the tasks performed by the team are, but not limited to: trade confirmation and settlement.
The group is in a unique position to work day-to-day with up and downstream stakeholders giving a complete overview of the trade life-cycle management.Do work that matters.This role is wide reaching and not prescriptive in every sense.
Discretion and sound judgment is critically important.The role includes, but is not limited, to the following:Using WallStreet and SWIFT Alliance, co-ordinate the authorisation process for the confirmation and settlement of all Interbank, Corporate Foreign Exchange and Money Market transactions, so that an efficient, timely and accurate outcome is achieved to the client's satisfaction.Coordinate the matching process to ensure all confirmations are matched in a timely manner, all exceptions are accounted for, and exceptions are escalated.Understand what is required in terms of the interaction with both internal and external clients and the processes for sourcing information from established relationships.Report processing/operational risk issues to management and execute manual/system-based controls to mitigate these risks.Execute testing of systems and changes to processes/workflows.Develop knowledge of foreign exchange processes and procedures.Adhere to the Code of Conduct.
