Noosa Council is seeking a hands-on horticultural leader to coordinate and deliver day-to-day horticulture and landscape services at the stunning Noosa Botanic Gardens and Cooroy Hinterland Playground. This is your chance to manage a dynamic team, oversee maintenance programs, and ensure these beloved community spaces look their best year-round.
What You'll Do:
* Lead and coordinate horticultural operations, minor projects, and landscape maintenance across the Botanic Gardens and Hinterland Playground.
* Maintain and enhance plant collections, including heritage and historically significant species, while overseeing irrigation, weed management, and herbarium care.
* Supervise a small team and guide volunteers, ensuring safety, productivity, and quality standards are met.
* Deliver on projects in line with the Botanic Gardens Master Plan, fostering community engagement and partnerships.
* Operate and maintain horticultural equipment safely, including mowers, chainsaws, mulchers, and brush cutters.

About You:
You're an organised, proactive leader with strong horticultural experience and a passion for plants. You thrive coordinating teams, managing landscapes, and delivering high-quality outcomes. You're confident in both planning and hands-on work, and skilled at building relationships with the public and community groups.
Remuneration:
LGEA Level 7 + Construction Workers Allowance (CWA) - $79,430 total package (including 12% superannuation and 17.5% leave loading).
