The Role
ABC News is looking for a Presenter to create compelling, high-quality content for our Northern Tasmania Drive show. Working as part of the Northern Tasmania team, you'll produce and present distinctive stories across radio and digital platforms, connecting with audiences and reflecting the diversity of the Northern Tasmanian community.
The Job
* Create and present distinctive, engaging content across multiple platforms for local and national audiences
* Generate original story ideas that reflect the cultural, geographic and socio‐economic diversity of Northern Tasmania and Australia.
* Actively engage with communities to identify and tell relevant local stories
* Contribute to planning and commissioning processes to grow audience reach and engagement
* Create local content suitable for sharing across ABC content teams
* Cross‐promote ABC content to enhance audience connection and impact

About You
You're a passionate and skilled presenter with strong editorial judgement and a genuine interest in telling meaningful local stories.
You'll Have
* Demonstrated program making and presentation experience, creating original and engaging audio and cross‐platform content
* Strong editorial skills, including the ability to source, analyse and shape stories with sound judgement
* A proven ability to build and maintain contacts across diverse communities
