Key Responsibilities
1. Apply technical leadership skills in aquatic environmental services and be recognized for specialist knowledge.
2. Have laboratory experience including sorting, enumeration, identification, sample preparation etc.
3. Design, lead and contribute to projects across freshwater environments to achieve timely and high-quality outcomes.
4. Write technical reports.
5. Conduct aquatic/water quality fieldwork in remote areas.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Relevant bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field with specialized study in freshwater ecology desirable.
* 5 years' experience as an aquatic ecologist, biologist, zoologist or water quality specialist with knowledge of scientific data collection in aquatic ecosystems.
* Excellent data analysis skills using uni- and multivariate techniques and ability to prepare reports to a high standard.
* Experience in project management including budgeting and client liaison from project inception to completion.
* Driver's Licence is essential.
* Experience in macroinvertebrate identification to species level will be favored.
* Enthusiastic and dedicated approach.
