As local experts in automotive repair and maintenance, we are committed to delivering high-quality service and workmanship. We are looking for an Automotive Technician to join the team In this role, you will be responsible for the servicing, repairing, and testing of our clients' motor vehicles in assuring their optimal mechanical condition. This is a full‑time ongoing position, working 40 hours per week based in Malaga, WA.
Responsibilities
* Providing expert advice in relation to mechanical condition of vehicles
* Mechanical vehicle repair and servicing including engine, transmission, body and suspension components
* Diagnosis, and repair of vehicle issues and defects per dealer & manufacturer warranty processes, standards, and guidelines
* Reporting all necessary work, service or repairs to the Service Manager and recording information using service reporting systems
* Test driving and conducting final assessments prior to return of vehicles to customers
* Always maintaining a safe working environment
* Maintaining an up to date, high level of knowledge of all mechanical issues
* Other general workshop duties where required
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant qualification as a Light Vehicle Mechanic
* Developed mechanical knowledge of the Automotive Industry – at least 3 years' experience desired
Skills and Knowledge
* Ability to work productively & efficiently in an autonomous environment
* Understanding of relevant Health & Safety requirements
* Reliability and punctuality are a must
* Be highly motivated and a self-starter
* Have a high attention to detail with ability to produce high quality workmanship
* Ability to follow dealership and brand procedures consistently
* Used vehicle reconditioning experience highly regarded
* Current manual driver's license
Annual salary will be between $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
