About the role
Crown Hotel Traralgon is looking for an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team in Traralgon, VIC. As one of our Chefs, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality, creative dishes that delight our customers.
What you'll be doing
* Preparing and cooking a variety of fresh, seasonal dishes according to our menu and recipes
* Maintaining high standards of food preparation, presentation and hygiene in the kitchen
* Collaborating with the team to continually improve and refine our menu offerings
* Efficiently managing kitchen operations and stock levels
* Providing mentorship and guidance to junior kitchen staff
* Ensuring a safe and positive work environment in the kitchen
What we're looking for
* Minimum 1 years of experience as a professional Chef, preferably in a cafe or restaurant environment
* Diplomas in relevant fields
* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, plating and presentation
* Creativity and flair for developing innovative, flavourful dishes
* Excellent time management and multitasking skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen
* Food safety and hygiene certification
