House Manager
Lead a team of Residential Support Workers in providing purposeful support to young people in residential care, with high and complex needs. The House Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential houses ensuring a safe, culturally appropriate, and healing environment for children and young people.

About the Role
This permanent, full-time position requires a hands-on approach with most time spent on-site in the home and 1 day a week in the new LWB office in Kalgoorlie. The role will involve shift work at times, including some early starts and occasional weekends, with penalty rates applied to those weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities
* Mentor a team of Residential Support Workers to provide purposeful support to young people with high and complex needs.
* Ensure the home is a place that is emotionally and physically safe, nurturing, and appropriately engaging and stimulating.
* Manage, support and provide reflective supervision and team meetings to a team of residential workers.
* Support staff to apply the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention system (TCI) to prevent, de-escalate and respond to crisis incidents involving children and young people.
* Coordinate the intake and transition of new children and young people into the home and the exit of children and young people to permanent homes or step-down services.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or similar.
* Experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma and disadvantage.
* Experience in the co-ordination and management of 24-hour residential services for vulnerable people.
* Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team.
* Demonstrated capacity to manage crises and critical issues and deal with complex and challenging situations.
