**About Monash Simulation**
Monash Simulation delivers a wide range of simulation for health professionals at all levels (in-situ and Centre
- based courses), designed to enhance individuals' skills, inter-professional teamwork and the translation of these into optimal patient care. The Centre, located in Moorabbin, has recently been extensively renovated and now includes two high fidelity simulation suites, as well as multiple debriefing and skills rooms and has the capacity to run high level complex inter-professional or simulation education courses.
Following an organisational restructure, we are now rebuilding our service to better support our medical, nursing and allied health cohorts and ensure we deliver best practice training and development to our frontline clinical teams. As part of our journey, we're now looking for a passionate and committed professional instructor to assist our pursuit of excellence in the simulation field. We envisage appointing this role at around two days per week, enabling you to maintain your clinical skills through working in either a nursing education and/or direct patient facing role.
**About the Role**
This is a rare opportunity to assist in the design and delivery of high quality education provided by Monash Simulation across the health service, in collaborative partnerships with clinical and education teams focused on patient and service outcomes. The simulation service will utilise the full range of simulation modalities, and be leveraged by fostering strong teaching and research partnerships with other simulation centres and universities. You will be part of a team of dynamic simulation educators and your role will include training and building the capacity of others to provide high quality centre-based and in-situ simulation across the network.
**About You**
You have certainly gained significant experience in the field of health education and/or simulation and are a passionate educator. In particular, you can demonstrate:
Expertise in high quality education across a wide range of modalities and inter-professional teams, including working with simulated or hybrid simulation patients and in-situ simulation;
Knowledge of operating sim mannequins, performing control room activities, and experience as a simulation confederate is considered a plus; and
An interest in assisting with simulation research.
High level expertise in critical care nursing is highly desirable but not mandatory for this role.
You are enthusiastic and energetic, with a natural ability to think creatively and work collaboratively with others to find innovative solutions.
You may hold advanced qualifications in a nursing critical care area supported by the relevant AHPRA registration. Academic qualifications in simulation, health professions education, or management will be highly regarded.
