Financial Accountant Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Repairhub. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recording, reporting, and analysis of financial transactions across the business.
Your primary responsibilities include:
* Preparing profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and monthly management reports to ensure effective comparison with budgets
* Maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger and ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards
* Managing the preparation and submission of monthly BAS
* Updating various company registers including fixed assets, property, rebates, and leases
* Liaising with external stakeholders including financial institutions, auditors, and taxation authorities to ensure regulatory compliance
* Providing support in evaluating financial and operational implications of business initiatives, projects, and investments
* Assisting with the preparation of the annual budget, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow, by collaborating with key business stakeholders
* Preparing periodic financial forecasts on an ongoing basis
* Monitoring and reporting performance against budget
* Supporting ad-hoc financial analyses and reporting requirements as needed
About You:
To be a successful candidate for this opportunity, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA) is preferred
* Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in finance
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Advanced skills in Excel are required
* Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
* Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across departments
