Position Details

We are seeking a passionate, reflective, and collaborative teacher to join our high performing team. Selection Criteria

Plan and deliver high‑quality, responsive teaching and learning plans that align with the WA Curriculum and CEWA's Vision for Learning. Use authentic evidence‑based strategies, such as modelled, shared and guided teaching/learning, questioning, metacognitive reflection, and inquiry‑based learning, to engage and challenge students. Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes belonging, independence, and active participation. Engage in professional collaboration through co‑planning, peer observation, and reflective dialogue to continuously improve practice. Use formative and summative data to inform instruction and respond flexibly to student progress and needs. Model Catholic values through relationships, pedagogy, and participation in the faith life of the school. Create rich opportunities for student voice and ownership, encouraging learners to set goals, reflect on their progress, and celebrate their growth. Contribute to a culture of shared expertise and innovation, supporting the collective goal of improving student outcomes across the school.

Additional Financial Incentives for Teachers

Subsidised housing. Fortnightly location allowance of $148.63 and $297.25 for those with dependents. $6000 yearly bonus after a full year of service. Paid long service leave for each year of service within that school at twice the applicable rate. Entitled to take long service leave after completing three years continuous service at the College. CEWA 100% of teachers water bill. Subsidised electricity bills. CEWA provided gardener for your property once a fortnight. Return flights to Karratha at the end of each year for teachers and their immediate family members if returning to the work the following year. Please refer to the Remote Area Package section from the WA Catholic School Teachers Enterprise Agreement 2023


Qualifications Required

Relevant 4 Year Tertiary Teaching Qualification.

Applicants are invited to submit a cover letter addressed to the Principal including a response to the selection criteria and key attributes (2 pages max), and their CV including the names and contact numbers of 3 referees, one of whom should be the current employer. On appointment successful applicants will require a WWC Check and complete the CEWA Mandatory Reporting and Child Protection procedures.

Applicants must have a current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of WA(TRBWA) to be eligible for appointment. Information is available from the TRBWA website.
