You'll be an essential part of the Clarence Correctional Centre – Australia's largest and most advanced correctional facility – equipping inmates with trade and waste management skills that foster rehabilitation and future employment.
Responsibilities
Supervising, coaching, training, instructing, and working with staff (inmates' experience highly desirable) to develop work skills in waste segregation, recycling, and disposal operations.
Creating and maintaining a safe working environment for staff (inmates' experience highly desirable) and visitors to comply with Work Health & Safety legislation.
Managing budget and resources efficiently and effectively to achieve planned outcomes.
Ensuring quality standards of production, including completing Instruction Test Plans (ITPs).
Delivering and understanding regulations or specific work requirements relevant to waste management and environmental compliance.
Delivering and understanding Occupational Health & Safety requirements and their application within a workshop or industry environment.
Contributing to teamwork by collaborating with others to achieve the Centre's goals and objectives.
Delivering the highest level of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
Qualifications
Certificate III in Waste Management (or working towards obtaining this qualification).
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, or full training will be provided to obtain this accreditation within the first year.
Certificate III in Correctional Practice, or full training will be provided to obtain this accreditation within the first year.
Extensive experience in related fields.
