About the Role
Working with technologies like AWS S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Kinesis, and Redshift, this role enhances cloud data capabilities, collaborates with stakeholders, and supports critical decision-making processes to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable AWS-based data pipelines
* Build and optimise batch and streaming data workflows using AWS services
* Collaborate with delivery teams, security teams, and stakeholders to align solutions with business objectives
* Apply AWS security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and network design
* Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CDK
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise data solutions for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
Skills & Experience
* Strong proficiency in Python, Scala, and Java for data engineering solutions
* Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Parquet, and data lake architectures=
* Proven delivery of end-to-end data pipelines from ingestion to curated outputs
* Experience with AWS data services including S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Kinesis, Redshift, and Athena
* Knowledge of DevOps/GitOps, CI/CD, and version control processes
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
Australian Citizenship & Baseline security clearance is a mandatory requirement for this position.
