About the Opportunity
Benevolent are seeking a creative, compassionate and energetic Lifestyle Officer to join our Resident Care Team.
In this rewarding role, you'll work under the guidance of the Team Leader to help design and implement engaging social, lifestyle and diversional activities that promote holistic wellbeing, independence and community connection for our residents.
You'll work closely with residents, families, volunteers and staff to ensure every programme reflects individual choices and enhances quality of life.
You'll also support efforts to grow our volunteer base and contribute to fostering a positive, inclusive culture.
What You'll Do
Work collaboratively with the team to plan, implement and evaluate individual and group activities tailored to residents' interests, abilities and preferences.
Promote social and community interaction, skill maintenance and independence.
Liaise with staff, residents, families and volunteers to deliver best-practice lifestyle programs.
Support and coordinate volunteer involvement.
Foster a warm, caring and resident-focused environment aligned with Benevolent's values.
Document participation and outcomes in line with accreditation and quality standards.
Contribute to a positive team culture and continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Computer literacy (Word, Publisher, Excel, Outlook).
Enthusiasm, creativity and a genuine passion for enriching the lives of older people.
Qualifications in Leisure & Health or Diversional Therapy (or working towards or willingness to attain) are an advantage but not essential.
Prior experience in a residential aged care setting, particularly with dementia care and/or lifestyle activity development and evaluation, would give you a favourable edge.
Role Features & Requirements
Permanent full-time but open to discussing part-time opportunities if you are a strong candidate and need some flexibility.
