About you
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team in a well established practice in Emerald, Central Queensland. This is an opportunity to try something different - working in a multidisciplinary practice in a rural landscape. You can work alongside a team with experience in many areas of Physiotherapy and make a real difference to the lives of our clients. This is a busy practice that services a large district. The practice is close to the Gemfields sapphire fossicking area, Fairbairn Dam and numerous bushwalking tracks. You can spend 5 minutes travelling to work and enjoy all the pleasures of country life while also being challenged professionally by treating a broad cross section of conditions. Our patients are friendly, engaged and very grateful for our professional assistance. This is a pleasant atmosphere to work in and we're looking for someone who is keen to try something different in a rural setting. Qualifications & experience
* You must have a Degree or Masters in Physiotherapy and current AHPRA registration.
* A driver's license would be an advantage.
* Interest in occupational health and/or ergonomics would be very useful
* Experience is essential and you need to be willing to learn and advance your skill set
* Strong treatment and clinical assessment skills across a broad range of conditions
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
* Excellent communication skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues alike.
Tasks & responsibilities
* You will work in a modern clinic with an enthusiastic team of physios. You will assess, diagnose and treat a broad range of conditions and, on occasion, visit gyms, pool and possibly workplaces
* You will work independently but can also benefit from the support of your experienced colleagues
* Working with clients in a variety of settings including musculoskeletal conditions, sporting injuries, occupational injuries, Workcover, post-op care, GP care plans, some NDIS and general rehab.
* You will be trained in functional assessments and return to work rehabilitation
* Develop and implement individualised treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals
* Provide hands-on Physiotherapy
* Maintain comprehensive clinical records
* Remain committed to advancing your knowledge base by participating in professional development

* $10 000 per year available for professional development through the rural training program
* We are flexible about working hours and days - RDOs are possible. No weekend work.
* $ $ per annum including super and leave loading
