Connect APAC are delighted to partner with a long term client, a leading Australian Food Manufacturer in their search for a National Account Manager (QSR). Reporting into the National Business Manager (QSR) this role is tasked with managing a variety of key accounts including; KFC, GYG and Subway. This role will drive commercial execution, menu collaboration, and operational alignment to support category growth, long-term partnership development, and mutual profitability. You will act as the primary liaison between internal cross-functional teams and external customer stakeholders, ensuring seamless delivery of service, innovation, and value.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own and lead the national relationship with designated QSR partners.
* Deliver joint business plans aligned with the customer's menu strategy, growth targets, and innovation pipeline.
* Manage day-to-day account operations including promotional planning, forecasting, and NPD coordination.
* Lead quarterly business reviews and performance meetings with key customer stakeholders.
* Develop and negotiate pricing proposals, trading terms, and cost-out initiatives that support profitable growth.
* Monitor sales performance, market share, and operational KPIs (e.g., DIFOT, product availability).
* Collaborate on menu engineering and cost modelling to support new product inclusion and promotional viability.
* Use data and insights to inform strategic planning, ranging, and growth opportunities.
* Work closely with internal teams including Operations, QA, PD, Marketing, and Supply Chain to deliver end-to-end customer solutions.
* Coordinate launch execution and contingency planning across all relevant departments.
* Support QSR innovation cycles through proactive idea generation, concept development, and sample coordination.
* Manage the product development pipeline in line with customer timelines and readiness for commercialisation.
* Monitor consumer trends, competitor activity, and emerging formats to provide proactive recommendations.
Key Requirements:
* FMCG/Consumer Goods experience essential.
* Exposure to the Food Service/QSR or AFH Channels essential desirable.
* Experience at National Account Manager, National Account Executive or Key Account Manager level.
* Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing, forecasting, and joint business planning.
* Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels.
* High attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
