Scaffold Estimator - SeniorOldfields Scaffolding SA&WA$120,000 – $150,000 per yearOldfields Scaffolding is an Adelaide-based scaffolding business delivering access solutions across commercial, residential, infrastructure and specialist projects.We are seeking a proven Senior Scaffold Estimator to lead our estimating team and directly influence revenue quality, margin performance, and client is a senior, client-facing leadership role suited to an experienced professional who understands scaffolding commercially not just technically. If you are comfortable carrying responsibility, setting standards, and driving performance, this role offers genuine influence and autonomy.
The RoleYou will lead the estimating function and be accountable for pricing quality, risk management, tender performance, and client engagement.Key responsibilities include:Leading and managing the estimating team (leader in all aspects of the business)Working closely with estimators / project manager / ops manager (team) and scaffolders alike.Ownership of pricing strategy, margin discipline, and risk assessmentReviewing, approving, and structuring all major tenders and proposalsManaging key client relationships and supporting strategic growth.Create a culture of high performance.Conducting high-level site inspections and technical assessmentsDeveloping scaffold methodologies, layouts, and gear strategiesEnsuring estimating systems, workflows and documentation remain best practiceDriving continuous improvement in accuracy, turnaround time and win rateWorking closely with Operations to ensure seamless project handoverInterpreting drawings and scopes.Identifying commercial opportunities and emerging market trendsRepresenting the business professionally with senior stakeholdersAbout YouThis role suits a senior professional who combines technical scaffolding expertise with strong commercial judgement and leadership will bring:Experience in scaffolding estimating, project delivery, or operationsProven leadership capability managing people and standardsStrong commercial instincts and financial awarenessDeep knowledge of scaffold compliance, design principles and Australian StandardsAbility to structure complex estimates and manage risk exposureExcellent organisation, accuracy and decision-making skillsComfortable operating autonomously with accountabilityHighly regarded:Avontus drawing and modelling experience (this is what we use)Exposure to medium to large commercial projectsSales, negotiation, or client development experienceSystems improvement or process leadership experience
