We are currently seeking Assistant Accountants to join our Finance Team. Successful candidates are offered a full-time position based at our West Perth office. The role works closely with the project delivery teams to support Warrikal and its project cost control activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for the delivery of month-end reporting tasks involving GL reconciliations including processing monthly journals, accruals and prepayments.
* Process monthly journals for allocation of labour, plant and equipment, and subcontractor costs where necessary.
* Assist in the maintenance of fixed asset schedules.
* Assist with the preparation of monthly reporting for the Executive Team.
* Prepare job profitability reports analysing actual to budget performance for Operational Managers.
* Assist in the preparation and submission of job estimates for client works.
* Assist in timesheet reviews and approval process including preparation of necessary reconciliations.
* Prepare timesheet exports and invoicing to the client.
* Setup and administer jobs in the system.
* Reconcile bank statements.
* Provide overall assistance within the Accounts Receivable function including follow-up of pending client outstanding purchase orders, timesheets and overdue payments.
* Assist the Finance team with ad-hoc duties as required.
About You
* Hold a tertiary qualification in accounting, quantity surveying or equivalent.
* Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position.
* Microsoft Office - Excel, intermediate / advanced.
* Pronto experience - desirable.
* Experience in the construction and/or resources sector (preferred).
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to problem solve.
* Proven communicator who can lead and influence.
