We are partnered with a State Government organisation in Nerang to recruit a Project Costing Officer until the end of October 2025 with the possibility of extension.
Your new role
Join this dynamic State Government Organisation as an AO3 Project Costing Officer. In this position, you will be responsible for a range of financial and administrative tasks, including:
* Process financial and timesheet transactions for project costing and revenue claims using systems such as SAP R/3.
* Monitor project and cost centre finances, ensuring accurate charges and alerting management to any budget deviations.
* Prepare end-of-month and ad hoc financial reports, and support procurement processes through accurate financial documentation.
* Manage the supply of goods and services, resolve supplier issues, and assist with inventory and stocktakes.
* Provide advice on costing and financial administration to project teams.
* Validate employee timesheets and resolve payroll discrepancies in line with industrial awards and policies.
* Maintain strong governance across all financial and administrative duties.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you should demonstrate:
* Experience in financial administration and reporting
* Familiarity with SAP or similar systems
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Understanding of payroll processes and governance standards
