The Role
As a Gardener/Handyperson, you will be instrumental in maintaining the school grounds, ensuring they are safe, tidy, and conducive to a positive environment for students and staff. You will oversee turf areas, garden beds and shrubs, and manage hard landscaping features such as courts and paving, helping to create an inviting outdoor space.
Your responsibilities include maintaining gardening facilities, equipment, and tools in good condition and performing minor repairs and maintenance in accordance with the Department's policies and guidelines.
The successful applicant will ideally have effective communication skills, be able to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff and external stakeholders, and be able to work unsupervised while identifying work to be completed. Being well organised, detail‐oriented, positive, and a team player is preferred.

Eligibility
To work with us, you will need to:
* obtain a valid Working With Children Check.
* consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
* be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
