We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Care Coordinator to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, exceptional organisational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
About the role:
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility's social care program.
* Work closely with the General Manager to plan and deliver programs that are responsive, engaging, and tailored to the needs and interests of residents.
Key responsibilities:
1. Plan, deliver, and review engaging social, recreational, and therapy programs for residents.
2. Lead, support, and coordinate social care staff and volunteers.
3. Build strong partnerships with local community groups, schools, and organisations.
4. Encourage resident involvement through regular meetings and program input.
5. Manage resources, maintain accurate records, and monitor budgets.
6. Drive a volunteer program and ensure compliance with relevant policies and standards.
7. Contribute to strategic planning and participate in staff development and training.
Required skills and qualifications:
* Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or a related discipline).
* Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
* Valid driver's licence.
* First Aid Certificate.
* Confident using computers and managing information systems.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A genuine passion for working with older people.
* Experience leading and coordinating a team or volunteers.
