As a
**SQL Developer/Data Analyst** you will source and analyse Employment Services industry and WISE business data to provide meaningful and relevant data analysis and reporting to WISE. This data and reporting informs business planning, operational needs and strategic business decisions.
**The role**:
- Prepare tables, Stored Procedures, Views for WISE Insights (Yellowfin) with an emphasis on SQL Server including;
- Use SQL Server to develop and implement stored procedures, tables, views and functions.
- Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements.
- Source required data.
- Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables.
- Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
- Suggest new queries.
- Develop procedures and scripts for data migration.
- Provide timely scheduled management reporting.
- Investigate exceptions and errors
- API management
- Ability to develop and work with APIs
- Understand and troubleshoot API issues
- Optimize API performance with ease
- Manage API keys and access
- Understand and work with API documentation
- Admin
- Git, creating branches, commits, merge requests etc
- Jira
- Confluence
- Syncing data for reporting
- Identify data required, quality of data and what might be proxied
- Write queries to extract from postgresql
- Design and create tables and stored procedures to facilitate reporting
- Prepare a job to run the sync
- Run data driven actions
- Identify data available, quality, currency/timing, and alternatives
- Design and create tables to support actions
- Write stored procedures and views to make data available
- Prepare jobs to hit endpoints
- Participate in discussions
- Advise on how data works in general
- Advise on what data is (or may be) available
- Run ad hoc reports
- Design, write and report on ad hoc queries as required by the project
- Create Yellowfin reports and dashboards
**About you**:
- SQL Server experience
- Experience with Data visualisations and reporting using BI tools eg (Tableau, Power BI Yellowfin or similar)
- TSQL and JSON, Postgres and Python experience (Desirable)
