About the role
As Senior Mine Geologist at our East Kundana mine site, reporting to the Superintendent – Mine Geology, you will provide leadership to a team of underground mine and project geologists.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing of in-mine exploration strategies.
* Overseeing the underground Mine Geology function by planning and scheduling in-mine geological activities to ensure business plans are achieved safely.
* Mentoring and supporting the professional development of the team.
* Contributing to the EOM, quarterly and annual reporting cycles.
* Assisting with forecast and budget cycles by tracking expenditure and managing geological drilling contractors.
* Overseeing geological grade control processes to ensure a high standard of QAQC is maintained.
* Prepare and maintain grade control and geological models (wireframing and estimation) in conjunction with the Senior Resource Geologist.
The position will be on an 8:6 (12-hour day) roster, FIFO from Perth or based residentially.
About you
To be considered for this role you must possess and be able to demonstrate the following;
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology
* Minimum 6+ years' experience across exploration and underground production
* Experience with project management with an emphasis on managing diamond drilling contractors.
* Understanding of mining geology, including gold sampling, ore deposits geochemistry, structural geology and grade modelling
* 3D modelling software experience
* Knowledge of statutory acts and regulations, and legal requirements
* Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values
* Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
