Overview of the Role: The Clinical Nurse Consultant - Oncology Coordination plays a pivotal role in providing specialist cancer nursing knowledge and a comprehensive care coordination service to cancer patients and their families in the Great Southern region. This position demands exemplary leadership, the ability to implement best practice standards, and a commitment to enhancing the patient experience within a multidisciplinary care model. As a key figure within the team, the Consultant will lead clinical initiatives, drive quality improvements, and ensure the highest standard of care in oncology services.

* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a multidisciplinary oncology service, fostering collaboration among medical, nursing, and allied health teams.
* Provide advanced patient care and guidance in line with best practice standards within oncology.
* Develop, implement, and promote evidence-based standards and policies to enhance service delivery.
* Initiate and evaluate quality improvement and patient safety activities, ensuring high standards of care.
* Participate in the recruitment and training of staff, supporting their professional growth.
