As a seasoned commercial lawyer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and protecting the interests of our organisation. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing high-quality, timely legal advice and support across a broad range of commercial matters.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to balance competing priorities and work well under pressure. They will also have a Bachelor of Laws qualification and at least 2–6 years post-admission experience in corporate and/or commercial law.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide proactive, commercially sound legal advice and strategic guidance to support business operations.
* Draft, negotiate and review a wide variety of contracts, including leases, property contracts of sale, construction contracts, software licences, supply of goods and services, student placement agreements, clinical service contracts, health fund contracts and joint venture agreements.
* Assist with projects such as property and corporate acquisitions, redevelopments and major tenders.
* Advise on privacy, health insurance and laws/regulations impacting the health sector.
* Seek assistance from senior lawyers where required.
* Manage instructions to external lawyers and monitor and compare costs.
* Assist in reviewing policies and procedures.
* Conduct legal research.
Qualifications and Skills
* Bachelor of Laws qualification.
* Minimum 2-6 years post-admission experience in corporate and/or commercial law.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
* Ability to balance competing priorities and work well under pressure.
