Part-Time Medical Practice Manager – Specialist Gynaecology Practice
Our boutique specialist gynaecology practice of two gynaecologists, is seeking an experienced and motivated Part time Medical Practice Manager to oversee the operational, administrative, and strategic functions of the clinic. This role is suited to a professional with strong organisational and interpersonal skills who values both career stability and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight of day-to-day practice operations, reporting directly to the business owner/ surgeon
- Manage and support administrative staff, including rostering, HR, and performance management
- Build, implement, and monitor process driven systems across admin, surgical bookings and patient experience
- Maintain and update the practice manual, policies, and compliance documentation
- Oversee operating theatre lists, billing processes, financial reporting, and operational efficiency
- Coordinate and implement marketing and patient engagement initiatives to support practice growth
- Drive staff training, onboarding and professional development
- Step into receptionist/administrative duties when required to ensure seamless service
Skills & Attributes
- Proven experience in medical practice management (specialist practice experience highly regarded)
- Minimum 1-2 years of medical practice management experience required
- Strong HR knowledge and staff leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and approachable manner
- Proficiency in medical practice software (Xestro or equivalent)
- Knowledge of Medicare billings and Health funds
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, and a proactive mindset
- Flexibility to balance leadership with hands-on support when needed
- Australian work rights are required for this position
