Overview
This company operates across multiple business sectors and is seeking an Accountant up to Company Accountant level to oversee its used car sales and real estate development businesses. Ideally, you will have experience in retail, such as automotive, real estate, or a related industry. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting and preparing reports for overseas stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity to take on diverse responsibilities and gain broad exposure across different business areas.
Responsibilities
Providing strategic recommendations to the head of the company executive management team
Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting
Advising the tax related matters to the head of the company.
Establishing and developing relations with banks and other financial institutions for loan matters
Examining bank statements and reconciling them with general ledger entries
Examining expenses submitted by employees and handling the employee payroll issues.
Preparing and submitting the company BAS on quarterly basis and liaising with outsourced tax accountant for the annual tax return.
Keeping an eye on incoming payments from accounts receivable and outgoing payments from accounts payable
Creating company financial reports with the above information included
Analysing data collected in order to determine the state of the company's financial health
Examining the proficiency of the software programs used to organise data (ERP system)
Generating financial reports that display the company's profits, equity and cash flow
Liaising with the real estate development and car sales staffs
Requirements
You must have unlimited work rights (Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency).
Relevant experience in a similar role.
Experience in the automotive or real estate development industry is preferred.
Language Skills:
Bilingual in Mandarin and English is highly desirable.
