Rare Bar & Grill, located in the heart of Mackay Qld, is looking for a Head Chef to lead its kitchen to further success. The current team is motivated to provide our guests with an authentic, fresh experience using the best produce in season. We are looking for a motivated, passionate chef to drive the kitchen to its full potential. This role will suit a seasoned head chef, or an experienced Sous Chef looking to gain the opportunity to grow your career and lead our dynamic team.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
* Lead in the delivery of high standards and outstanding service
* Work well under pressure, confident in your ability and decision making
* Experience in all sections across the kitchen
* Passion and experience preparing modern Australian cuisine
* Proven culinary skills
* Willing and able to work a variety of shifts across a rotating roster
* Good communication, able to promote a positive work environment
* Strong time management and organisational skills
* Proactively assume additional responsibilities
* Understanding of food safety standards and maintain high and consistent standards
