The Purpose
The Fibreglass Repairer & Painter at Snowy River Caravans is responsible for preparation, repair, and refinishing of caravans to a high professional standard. You will work on a variety of projects including insurance repairs, accident damage, and full resprays.
Key responsibilities include
* Prepare caravan surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, filling, and priming
* Perform paint repairs to damaged panels, including scratch, dent, and accident repairs
* Colour match paints to existing finishes
* Apply paint using spray equipment to achieve high-quality finishes
* Blend new paintwork with existing surfaces for seamless repairs
* Carry out fibreglass repairs as required
* Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
* Maintain painting equipment and tools in good working order
* Follow workplace health and safety procedures
* Keep work areas clean and organised
* Communicate with service advisors and workshop staff regarding repair progress
* Proven experience as a spray painter (automotive, marine, or caravan industry preferred)
* Knowledge of paint preparation and refinishing techniques
* Experience with fibreglass and panel repairs (advantageous)
* Ability to colour match accurately
* High attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and within a team
