Summary:
The Team Leader plays a key role in overseeing the daily packing operations. Reporting directly to the Packing Supervisor, your hands-on role is ensuring that repacking operations processes run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company goals. You will be responsible for supporting the Packing Supervisor in leading the Rana and Max Foods teams, optimising schedules, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

At Pakval, we’re a fast-growing, family-owned business located in Yennora. As demand grows, we’re looking for a hands-on Production Line Team Leader to guide our packing team, lead from the front, and help us deliver quality work, every time.
This is a full-time, permanent role with the opportunity to work in a tight-knit team and a business that truly values continuous improvement, safety, and people development.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a key leader on the floor, you'll oversee day-to-day packing operations — managing line efficiency, motivating your team, and ensuring everything runs to standard. Your responsibilities will include:
•Supporting a safety-first culture and reporting any hazards immediately
•Setting up packing lines to achieve smooth, efficient operation
•Balancing workflows across packing stations to reduce downtime and bottlenecks
•Monitoring and adjusting line speed, staff allocation, and output to meet targets
•Leading, motivating, and supporting a team of packers across two lines
•Conducting or assisting with team meetings, briefings, and training
•Ensuring packing is completed to specification, meeting quality and compliance standards
•Coordinating with other departments to ensure all materials are available as needed
•Maintaining clean and safe work areas and ensuring equipment is cleaned between jobs
•Troubleshooting line issues and reporting technical or maintenance concerns
•Keeping accurate production data and reporting KPIs to the Production Supervisor
•Training new team members on job briefs and procedures
•Flagging performance or personnel issues for resolution
What We’re Looking For
•A strong focus on safety and working knowledge of WHS practices
•Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing, packaging or FMCG environment
•The ability to lead under pressure, solve problems on the fly, and keep the team on track
•Experience with packing equipment and line operation
•Strong attention to detail, quality standards, and critical thinking skills
•Clear and confident communication skills
•Basic computer literacy for reporting, documentation, and label printing
•The ability to read and follow manuals, job briefs, and procedures
•Australian working rights
