Reporting to the Site Manager, the Ingredient, Warehouse & Quality Officer supports the daily quality, warehouse, and administrative functions across the site. You’ll work closely with Production Managers, Coordinators, Logistics, and Quality teams to ensure our manufacturing processes are safe, compliant, efficient and meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating and supporting all site quality administration activities
- Maintaining SOPs, work instructions, environmental and safety documentation
- Supporting production teams to achieve targets (Right First Time, DIFOT, OEE)
- Supporting weighbridge, raw material receival and stock management processess
- Ensuring staff follow safety, environmental and quality requirements
- Participating in customer complaint investigations
- Managing in-process testing regimes, retention samples and laboratory records
- Providing training and support to site personnel on quality procedures
- Preparing and dispatching raw material and feed samples to external labs
- Participating in site audits, including HACCP, FeedSafe® and internal reviews
- Maintaining plant cleanliness standards and housekeeping of all quality/testing areas
- Ensuring risks, hazards and non-conformances are recorded, investigated and closed out
- Acting as the site’s point of contact for external auditors
- Supporting stocktakes, receivals, quality checks, and compliance documentation
- Actively contributing to continuous improvement meetings and initiatives
- Supporting the Weighbridge Operations.
Skills And Experience
- Competent understanding of HACCP
- Strong administration capability and proficiency with MS365 and Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail and strong written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across operations
- Problem-solving skills and confidence to escalates issues when required
- Knowledge of organisational procedures and administrative processes
- Exposure to FMCG or manufacturing environments
- Experience with MRP2 or ERP systems
- Understanding of production operations or Feedmill systems
