About the position
Corangamite Shire Council is looking for multiple Plant Operators to join our Works team during the summer construction period.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the construction and maintenance of Council's road network, property, and facilities.
- Operating and maintaining plant in an efficient and safe manner on construction and maintenance jobs.
- Maintaining and monitoring traffic control and safety signing on the job as required.
- Undertaking routine machine checks with regard to safe legal operation, fluid levels and lubrication points.
- Maintaining accurate time sheets and work program documentation.
About you
- Certificate of competency for various plant such as front-end loader, backhoe, bobcat and/or excavator.
- Victorian Driver License, Construction Induction Card and recent National Police Check, or ability to obtain prior to commencement.
- Experience in civil construction, maintenance or concreting works is highly desirable.
- Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver License endorsement and Traffic Management ticket, or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement, is highly desirable.
- Sound working knowledge in the operation, safe use and maintenance of plant and equipment, with the ability to perform manual work in accordance with OH&S guidelines.
- Demonstrated commitment to our core values of teamwork, integrity, and respect.
