Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for cardiology and critical care? The Coronary Care Unit at John Hunter Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and skilled RN to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team.
Remuneration: $36.39 - $51.09 Per Hour + 12% Super + Salary Packaging Employment Type: Temporary Part Time until November 2026 Position Classification: Registered Nurse Hours Per Week: 16 Location: John Hunter Hospital | Awabakal Country

As a Registered Nurse in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at John Hunter Hospital, you will step into a high-acuity, fast-paced environment where you’ll care for some of the most complex and challenging cardiology cases. You will be part of a collaborative and inclusive team culture that values continuous learning, professional growth, and excellence in patient care.
In This Role, You Will Deliver specialised, evidence-based nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for acute cardiology patients. Provide expert nursing support for patients undergoing interventional, structural, and electrophysiology procedures, including TAVI. Manage and support patients with heart failure and other complex cardiac conditions, contributing to improved outcomes and quality of life.
Our 8-bed Coronary Care Unit provides specialised, high-level care to patients experiencing acute cardiac conditions. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, supportive environment where your contributions directly impact patient outcomes.
Requirements Our successful candidate will possess the following: Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA. Recent experience in cardiac nursing or critical care services is highly desirable. Ability to prioritise effectively in a complex and fast-paced clinical environment. Solid communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to maintaining exceptional standards of care and supporting positive patient outcomes.
