About you
We have an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or junior lawyer to join our growing Disputes and Investigations team based in Canberra. This is an exciting opportunity to expand your skills in Disputes and Investigations while working within a collaborative and friendly team.
To be successful and thrive in this role you will have the following skills
* a minimum of 1+ years' PAE in commercial disputes or litigation.
* strong written and verbal communication skills, drafting and problem-solving skills
* experience to efficiently deliver practical and quality outcomes for all parties and demonstrate an aptitude of learning and flexibility in service delivery
* excellent interpersonal skills will assist you to quickly establish strong relationships with clients, colleagues and Firm stakeholders.
* a proactive attitude and desire to learn from experienced litigators

Your role
Recognised for their ability to handle complex and commercial disputes, our Disputes & Investigations group has unrivalled experience in conducting proceedings, negotiations and settlements through court, mediations and arbitrations across a broad range of industries. The group is well-known and respected for their application of sound legal, investigative and evidentiary skills in complex, multi-party litigation and disputes.
This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or junior lawyer to join our Canberra office, you would be joining a small and experienced local team which is the second largest practise group among our national firm.
Your will be working with an existing portfolio of a diverse range of clients and matters on a variety of contentious issues including:
* commercial and contractual disputes
* negligence claims
* insolvency
* property (real and intellectual), planning and construction disputes
