Business Tax Specialist | Adelaide | Private Tax
Join us as a Senior Associate in the Private Tax practice at PwC Australia.
Our clients rely on us for high‑stakes tax challenges. As a Senior Associate, you'll lead a team delivering corporate and private tax compliance, advisory services, domestic and international matters, restructures, M&A support, and ATO engagements across a broad range of industries.
What you'll do:
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business needs and providing tailored tax advice.
* Develop and implement tax strategies to optimise clients' tax positions and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
* Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
* Ensure all tax filings and compliance requirements are met accurately and on time.
* Identify and mitigate tax‑related risks for clients, ensuring they are aware of potential issues and solutions.
* Identify opportunities for expanding services with existing clients and attracting new clients to the firm.
* Stay updated on the latest tax laws and regulations, and provide insights and training to the team and clients.
* Oversee multiple client projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
* Conduct detailed financial analysis to support tax planning and decision‑making processes.
* Work closely with other departments, such as audit and advisory, to provide comprehensive services to clients.
What we're looking for:
* Experience in private/business and/or corporate tax with hands‑on exposure to complex tax matters.
* CA qualification or equivalent professional accounting/tax credential.
* Proven experience leading and developing onshore teams, focusing on coaching and delivering quality outcomes.
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and client relationships, balancing competing priorities and expectations.
* Commercial mindset and excellent communication skills, able to translate technical advice into practical solutions.
* A commitment to ongoing learning, collaboration and contributing to business development and knowledge sharing.
* Experience and ability to work in a collaborative team environment to achieve desired outcomes for our clients.
