Geriatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship
This position provides advanced emergency medicine trainees the opportunity to subspecialize in geriatric emergency medicine. The fellowship is a unique opportunity that includes half-time dedicated clinical support time to allow you to direct your own learning by being super-numerary at varied clinical learning sessions to support subspecialization in GEM while also working half-time as a senior registrar in a tertiary mixed emergency department.
The on-the-ground experience you'll gain in this fellowship will set in motion a career pathway to choose your own adventure. Tasmania has the oldest and fastest-aging population in Australia, making it the perfect site to specialize in GEM. You'll attend our annual GEMTAS and Trauma in the Older Person Education Days covering the core GEM curriculum.
