Behaviour Intervention Specialist
This role involves delivering high-quality, evidence-based Behaviour Therapy services to children and their families. The specialist will support children with developmental, behavioural, or social-emotional needs to build functional skills, increase independence, and enhance overall wellbeing. A child-centred approach is required, fostering collaborative relationships with families and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide behaviour therapy sessions using play-based, strengths-focused, and developmentally appropriate methods.
* Conduct assessments, develop behaviour support strategies, and implement tailored intervention plans aligned with NDIS goals.
* Monitor progress, adjust strategies as required, and maintain accurate session notes and documentation.
* Collaborate with families, carers, and allied health professionals to ensure consistent therapeutic support across environments.
* Offer parent and caregiver coaching to support continuity of skill development.
Requirements:
* Qualifications in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Behaviour Support, Allied Health, or a related discipline.
* Demonstrated experience in early intervention and play-based behaviour therapy.
* Strong understanding of child development, behaviour principles, and family-centred practice.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive rapport with children and caregivers.
* Current Working with Vulnerable Persons Card.
