Inverloch and Kongwak Primary Schools (IKPS) is located on beautiful Bunurong and Boon Wurrung country, in the seaside town of Inverloch in the Bass Coast Shire and the small country town of Kongwak in the South Gippsland Shire, approximately 150kms south-east of Melbourne.
At IKPS, we pay respect to the Traditional Owners of Bunurong and Boonwurrung Country where we live, work and learn.

And we pay our deep respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
IKPS is run in a hub-annex arrangement with a combined staff, and a shared Principal and two Assistant Principals.
This unique arrangement is united by our shared school vision: all our students achieve their full potential and develop into confident, well-rounded citizens.
Our school in Inverloch has grown rapidly over the years to reach a current enrolment of 472 students and we run 20 classes, with an additional 5 specialist areas, P.E., Music, Art, STEM and Auslan.
We have ***** equivalent full-time staff: 3 principal class, 30 teachers and 20 Education Support staff.
Our school in Kongwak has 2 multi-age classes and 32 students enrolled in ****.
At IKPS we support our students to develop understandings and meaningful skills that contribute to health and well-being, which includes the development and implementation of our SWPBS program.
We also value and nurture a trusting and supportive teaching environment for all our staff.
We are a vital and integrated part of our two towns.
As such, we are deeply engaged in our community through a calendar of school events and also by actively participating in community events including ANZAC and Remembrance Day services, and excursions to other local organisations.

Selection Criteria
SC1:Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate teaching of literacy and numeracy skills, and experience in responding to student learning needs.
SC2:Experience in planning for and implementing high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating the impact of learning and teaching programs on student growth.
SC3:Experience in monitoring and assessing student learning, using data to inform teaching practice, and providing feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents.
SC4:Interpersonal and communication skills, establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community to support student learning, agency, wellbeing and engagement.
SC5:Behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values, and experience in reflecting upon practice and engaging in professional learning to continually improve the quality of teaching.
Role
The classroom teacher classification comprises two salary ranges – range 1 and range 2.
The primary focus is on the planning, preparation and teaching of programs to achieve specific student outcomes, and engagement in critical reflection and inquiry to improve knowledge and skills.
As a classroom teacher gains experience, their contribution to the school program beyond the classroom increases.
All classroom teachers may be required to undertake other duties in addition to rostered teaching duties, provided the responsibility is appropriate to the salary range, qualifications, training and experience of the teacher.
Classroom teacher Range 2:plays a significant role in assisting the school to improve student performance and educational outcomes, and contributes to the development and implementation of school policies and priorities.
Expected responsibilities include providing expert advice, mentoring other teachers, supervising student teachers and helping staff use student data to drive outcomes.
Classroom teacher Range 1:focused on further developing teaching skills, classroom management, subject content and teaching practice.
Teachers receive structured support and mentoring from teachers at higher levels, and may also participate in policy development, project teams and co-curricula activities.
Responsibilities
Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students;
Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum programme within the school;
Undertaking other classroom teaching-related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal;
Participating in activities such as parent-teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps and excursions;
Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
Who May Apply
Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.

Qualification Requirements
The person must have provisional or full registration approved by the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
If the person completed an Australian postgraduate level initial teaching program or course of study on or after 1 January ****, they must demonstrate satisfying completion of a postgraduate level accredited initial teacher education programme by an Australian State or Territory Teacher Regulatory Authority.
A person who graduated from a Victorian Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programme after 1 July **** must also demonstrate that they have passed the literacy and numeracy test for initial teacher education (LANTITE) requirements.
