We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Midwife to provide high-quality healthcare services to Aboriginal women and their families in rural New South Wales.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver patient-centered midwifery care in a general practice clinic setting.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care for mothers and children throughout pregnancy, infancy, and childhood.
* Mentor and support Aboriginal Health Practitioners and trainees in ante natal and post-natal care.
* Competently perform clinical midwifery duties, including antenatal and post-natal assessments, baby checks, immunisations, and other injections.
Requirements:
* Current unconditional registration with AHPRA as a registered Midwife.
* Minimum 3 years' midwifery experience, preferably in a community role.
* Ability to work effectively in a community-based setting and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the principles of primary health care and how they relate to maternal and infant health in relation to Aboriginal children, women, and families.
