Volunteer Photographer - Youth Ballet WA (Burswood)
Youth Ballet WA is seeking an experienced volunteer photographer to help capture the artistry and dedication of our students throughout the year. This role involves photographing student headshots, rehearsals, and live performances, producing high-quality images that can be used in programs, marketing materials, and social media.
The photographer must be confident working with children and young people aged 9-20, creating a comfortable environment while directing students during photos. Experience photographing moving subjects, particularly dancers, is highly desirable, as capturing movement, jumps, and stage performance is an important part of this role.
Responsibilities
* Working respectfully and confidently with young dancers
* Taking headshots and performance photos of students
* Editing and producing images for school programs, marketing, and social media
* Attending rehearsals, performances, and special events throughout the year
Qualifications
* Have experience in portrait, performance, or dance photography
* Own their own camera equipment and editing software
* Be available during weekdays, evenings, and weekends, as events occur at different times throughout the year
* Have strong communication skills and the ability to work with young performers
Youth Ballet WA is a not-for-profit pre-professional ballet school in Burswood, supporting the dreams of young dancers since 2006. For the right person, there may be an opportunity to work with the school on an ongoing basis and become part of our creative community.
