About the Role

Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth's Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible for designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.

ANI has an opportunity for an experienced insurance professional to lead the insurance function at ANI. In a rapidly evolving environment, you will have a unique opportunity to shape and deliver a dynamic insurance program to support ANI's current and future endeavours.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Management of ANI's Insurance Program and annual renewal process, in partnership with ANI staff, its brokers, and insurers.
* Lead on the management of the insurance approach for the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard.
* Management and coordination of insurance claims.
* Coordination and provision of insurance advice to stakeholders.
* Identification of emerging areas of insurable risk and the development of appropriate solutions.
* Report preparation for Executive, Audit & Risk Committee and Board consideration.

Qualifications

About You:

You will be an insurance professional with extensive experience in managing insurance programs in complex environments, with a track record in managing end-to-end insurance renewal processes, claims management and contract management. You will be comfortable with engaging with a broad range of stakeholders including insurers, brokers, and other relevant parties.

You will also have:

* Tertiary qualification in a relevant area (e.g. insurance, finance, business).
* A minimum of eight years (or equivalent) relevant insurance experience with demonstrated insurance specialist training and expertise.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in infrastructure, utilities or other asset-intensive industries, including the management of complex approaches such as Principal Controlled Insurance programs.
* Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with a positive, proactive and innovative attitude.
* Applicants must be able to either hold or be able to gain and maintain a Defence security clearance. Applicants will be required to consent to background checks.
