Are you passionate about the environment and looking for a physically active role where you can make a tangible difference? Council is seeking dedicated and skilled Natural Areas Team Members to join our Parks Branch.
Responsibilities:
* Weed control, erosion control, and restoration works, alongside the maintenance of walking tracks, trails, and fire access lines.
* prescribed burn operations (fuel reduction) and respond to wildfire outbreaks or other emergencies within reserves.
* Maintain accurate digital records, including herbicide registers, GIS data input, and operational reports.
What We're Looking For:
* Qualifications: A Certificate III in Natural Resource Management (or equivalent experience) is required.
* Knowledge: Strong skills in identifying indigenous flora and fauna as well as exotic/weed species.
* Technical Skills: Experience with chainsaws (Level 1 certification) and computer literacy (including GIS) is essential.

* c\Current manual 'C' class driver's licence and be able to obtain an MR licence.
* ACDC Commercial Operators Licence, White Card, and Senior First Aid certificate (or the ability to attain one).
* Firefighting: Level 1 Bushland Firefighting qualification is preferred or must be obtained during the probation period.
* Health: Due to the nature of the work, vaccinations for Hepatitis A & B, Tetanus, and Q Fever are mandatory requirements for this position.
