PLANT OPERATOR – FILL IN – CASUAL

What will you do?
The role will be providing coverage for when required is a 2:2 role that offers diverse, interesting and challenging work with the opportunity to grow and make your mark within an industry leading contractor on a significant project for a multinational client.
You will be supported by your leaders and have a hands-on team to work alongside and learn from. With the project site in Nhulunbuy we have option for the candidate to be FIFO from Brisbane, Cairns, Darwin or locally based in Nhulunbuy.
Depending on the full time crews leave entries there will be a requirement to work up to 7 days followed by night shift for up to 7 nights. While staff readily take a full swing off i. e (7 days and 7 nights) you may be also be required to fill in for shorter periods. This would suit someone who would like to keep active in the workforce without committing to a full time role.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Ensuring all onsite Safety documentation is completed daily
* Working strictly in accordance with site OH&S rules
* Operation of Forklift, Telehandler with a Jib and a HC Side loader truck
* Operation of pumps, valves and mixers on a Water Treatment Plant
* Undertaking Sampling and completing checklists
* Onsite Logistics Management
* Working effectively in a team environment
* Ensuring works are completed in accordance with site policy's and procedures
* Using and ensuring others in the team are wearing site specific PPE
Minimum Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years relevant industry experience
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in civil, mining and or remediation projects
* Ability to work safely with minimal supervision
* HC license or willingness to obtain.
* Forklift license
* CN license or willingness to obtain
* Dogman’s License or willingness to obtain
* Water treatment and or plumbing experience will be considered advantageous
* Drivers license
* Professional verbal communication skills
Other Non-Essential Attributes:
* Word and excel knowledge
* Plumbing and or electrical/trade experience
* Experience working in process plants and or mining environments
